Colney Heath Scout Group

Join the adventure in Hertfordshire's best Scout Group!  Traditional Scouting for a Modern World.

What is Scouting?

Scouting is a remarkable movement that brings amazing benefits and enjoyment to everyone involved – children, leaders, parents and everyone involved with the running of the group.

Through adventure, we help our scouts develop team-work skills, friendships, confidence, independence, responsibility and a ‘can do’ attitude to help prepare them for the wider world.

Everyone in our group takes part in many adventures & activities at weekly evening meetings, weekend activities in the term, and week-long summer camps (for the older sections).  In a typical year, we will go climbing, cycling, caving, hammocking, canyoning, hiking, canoeing, abseiling, swimming, fire-lighting, community visits, craft activities and many many more adventures.

Colney Heath

Colney Heath Scouts is a friendly village run group, a part of the community for nearly 60 years, and priding our selves on being friendly and welcoming.  As of 2021 we have three thriving sections, and always looking to take on new young people to join the adventure.

Who is Scouting for?

We serve the areas of Colney Heath, Highfield, Sleapshyde, Smallford, Tyttenhanger and Hill End.  As well as the whole St Albans area.

Our group runs:

Beavers (6-8yrs Thursday)

Cubs (8-10.5yrs – Tuesday)

Scouts (10.5-14yrs – Friday)

Some people think Scouts is just for boys – it’s not – we have girls too!

Note:- As of April 2021, we are meeting Face-2-Face.

Our private Facebook page is offered for parents to view messages and notifications, as well as share photographs from our meetings and events.

Colney Heath Scout Hut

Colney Heath is currently without a hut, however normal service is taking part for Beavers and Cubs at the Colney Heath Village Hall and for Scouts at the London Colney Scout hut.  We will be returning home when we can.

More information about our hut can be found here.

Finally, please meet some of our most excellent young friends....
